Manufactured entirely in the U.S. by Frameworks America, they have designs that are representative of the American history and philosophy of eyewear: in fact, they are reworkings of models ranging from the 1930s to the 1970s, repurposed with the same old-fashioned craftsmanship.
All Spectaculars eyewear is made from cellulose acetate that has been brushed and polished using traditional techniques that give a vintage effect of exceptional rarity. All hinges are recessed by hand and locked by star-head rivets manually riveted one by one.
The limited production of the American brand, has had an excellent showcase and a sharp increase in demand and sales precisely because of appearances in popular films such as "The Devil Wears Prada," in which Stanley Tucci sports the Herbert model with round lenses and tortoiseshell frames. The Bruno model, however, was worn by Matt Damon in "The Talented Mr. Ripley," while Elliot Gould wore the Oliver in "Ocean's Eleven."
