Originally founded in 1972, Eyevan was a company known primarily in Japan, the native country of founder Kensune Ishizu. The company developed a design inspired by the style and tranquility of Japanese culture combined with precision craftsmanship, with a precise purpose: to transform glasses from a simple visual aid to an elegant fashion accessory.

In 2013, approximately 40 years after the launch and with a notable cultural and technical background, the new design team made its global debut by building the EYEVAN 7285 brand based on the archives of EYEVAN, expressing what they believed to be the new true essence of beauty.
The designers' sources of inspiration are the EYEVAN archives, rich in a variety of objects such as vintage glasses, telescopes, mirrors and old instruments, architectural works as well as the forms of nature.
For example, the design of the temples takes inspiration from the French cutlery of the 1940s, the metal frames come from the structure of the eye testing equipment in the 1970s, and the details are inspired by the arabesque motifs of old Japanese temples. EYEVAN 7285 glasses are made by expertly combining the manual work of artisans with the cutting-edge machinery of the Sabae district, in Fukui prefecture, which is the most renowned eyewear production in the world.
A group of skilled craftsmen who, through 400 manufacturing processes and the use of cutting-edge technologies, create glasses that are true works of art rather than industrial products. Discover the Eyevan sun and vision collection and Eyevan 7285 on our online shop!
